Patria-O-Muerte

Such and Such is proud to host Patria-O-Muerte; an exhibition by Dundee based artist Ross Fraser McLean who works with both digital and analogue photography.

Patria-O-Muerte (literally translated as 'Homeland or Death') is a collection of images taken during McLean's month long travels around Cuba, to mark the 50th year anniversary of the Cuban Revolution. McLean states that he, like the revolutionaries of half a century before, is inspired by 19th century Cuban freedom fighter Jose Marti. His lens manages to capture the uneasy alliance between communism and capitalism and the impact this has on the landscape and on its inhabitants.

We invite you to join us for a preview evening on Friday 14 October from 7-9pm at Such and Such studio.

Additionally, there will be a Cuban flavoured after-party which will take place at 'a secret location' from 10pm until 1am with various local DJs including Francis Dosoo (Soulsville@Bongo Club) Skint Richie and Stacey Hunter. Numbers are limited.
